-Read "Quick as a Cricket" by Audrey Wood. Point out all the vivid description words to your child, and consider together if any of those same words could be used to describe the items in your Mystery Bag.
-Any bag can become a Mystery Bag! Have fun and practice using rich words to describe items in a purse, backpack, or suitcase.
Adjust for an older child
Place as many as ten items in the bag. Use clues that focus on texture or purpose rather than color or size.
Adjust for a younger child
Place two items in the bag that are familiar but very different from each other.
