Extending this activity

  • -Play the game again, but this time the player with the smallest number wins the round. At the end of the game, count the number of cards each person has to find out the overall winner.

-Read the book “More, Fewer, Less” by Tana Hoban. Compare the quantities of the items in the picture. Which has more, fewer, less?

Adjust for an older child

Each player turns over one card. Then turn over another card. Have the child put the three numbers in order from least to greatest.

Adjust for a younger child

Adjust the game to find the numbers that are the same. To do this, use three decks of cards and only use the numbers two, three, and four. This will give you a better chance of turning over cards that match.
